A difficult weekend at Oulton Park after qualifying in Pole

16/06/2007

Aaron Steele

With varying conditions Aaron topped the times to gain his first pole of the season and was poised and confident for his 1st victory. Sadly it wasn`t to be, after slipping to second at the start he arrived at Island Hairpin behind Hancock of Mark Burdett Motorsport. Wanting to secure top spot and drive away from the chasing pack, the opportunity was there to pass Hancock who ran slightly wide while trying to defend his early advantage. Aaron made his move, only for Hancock to turn in and collide with him. Aaron car was un-able to continue with the damage it had sustained.

With this weekend now behind us, we are looking forward to Silverstone on the 21st and 22nd of July. Aaron still sits in 3rd in the Championship, and is geared up to reverse his fortunes, more hungry than ever for that first win that has so far eluded him.

Good luck Aaron!
