Double M Racing is pleased to announce that Irish Ellis Harkins has signed with the team to compete in the 2008 BARC Formula Renault Championship.

Harkins is a total newcomer to the world of motorsport having never competed in competitve karting, his only previous single seater experience is 2 races with the Formula BMW racing school in Bahrain.

Race engineer Ross Curnow said "Ellis is going to have a lot to learn this year. The BARC championship is very competitive with 36 entries, many of them having years of motorsport experience, however we will work hard together and i believe by the end of the year Ellis can be a top 10 contender"
